Sports betting and gaming entertainment company BetMGM now has two online casinos in Pennsylvania after launching the Borgata Casino app in the commonwealth via a market access partnership with Rush Street Gaming’s Rivers Casino Philadelphia.
Announced Thursday, the tie-up follows the December launch of BetMGM Casino in the Keystone State.
Milestone move:
Commenting on the respect that the Borgata brand commands and the success of the digital casino app in New Jersey, Chief Executive Officer for BetMGM, Adam Greenblatt said launching in Pennsylvania is an important milestone for the company as it marks the first state beyond the Garden State where the Borgata Casino brand is live.
“We’re confident that players in Pennsylvania will enjoy the digital betting experience of Atlantic City’s premier casino,” said the CEO in an MGM Resorts International (NYSE: MGM) press release.
BetMGM is the exclusive sports betting division of MGM Resorts, in both online and land-based casinos across the US, and is a partnership between the Las Vegas-headquartered entertainment company and British sports betting and gambling company Entain Plc (LSE: ENT), formerly GVC Holdings.
Along with over 150 slots, the Borgata Casino app also features table games such as MGM Grand Millions and Premium Blackjack Pro, while its progressive jackpot, which is connected to slots offerings and accessible to players in the commonwealth, starts at $300,000.
Rewards benefit:
Furthermore, the integration of BetMGM with MGM Resorts’ M life Rewards program lets Borgata Casino customers in the Keystone State redeem their gameplay for accommodations at MGM properties throughout the US, such as MGM National Harbor in Maryland, Borgata in New Jersey, and Bellagio and MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
The Borgata Casino app can be downloaded on iOS and Android and accessible via desktop.
BetMGM recently announced its new partnership with Dallas headquartered sports entertainment company Topgolf. The integrated sports betting and entertainment partnership will see the two companies collaborate on offers for marketing and promotions at chosen Topgolf venues and within WGT (World Golf Tour) by Topgolf. The online multiplayer virtual golf game has been part of the Topgolf Entertainment Group family since 2016.
Operations resume:
In related news, MGM resorts announced on February 17 that it would be resuming around-the-clock hotel/full-week operations at The Mirage, Park MGM and Mandalay Bay from March 3. According to the company press release, increased interest from the public in traveling to Las Vegas was a catalyst for the change after each of the three properties had implemented “selective mid-week closures” in response to diminished business volumes due to the ongoing health crisis.
The company also recently revealed that a number of its live entertainment shows will be returning to the stage this month and in early March.
